A Time to Reap

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). First, I must confess that this is probably my least favorite topic to talk about, and that’s because I’ve seen God’s judgment first-hand. It’s really scary to witness. As a matter of fact, it can be quite traumatizing. I’m thinking about how it must have affected King David and his men to see Uzzah’s extreme punishment of death after reaching out to catch the Ark of the Covenant to keep it from falling. David was filled with anger and awe-inspiring fear of God! This happened because he failed to follow God’s precise instructions and refused to revere God’s words.

I would like to share a situation I went through a while ago that shook me to my very core. At the church I was attending, I met an older, wise lady who was a seer. I only knew her from seeing her at church playing the piano. One day after church, we spoke briefly, and I gave her my business card. Well, when she called me on this particular day, I was overwhelmed, hurt, tired, and very drained. I cried as she prayed and prophesied to me. I will share one part of her prophecy. She told me that it was reaping time for everyone who had hurt me. As I am writing this, I’m thinking of Joseph in the Bible who was mistreated by his brothers. However, in time, not only did they have to bow down to him, but they also had to pay a price for how badly they treated him. What we fail to realize is when we hurt others and do evil deeds, they will boomerang (return) to us. Back to the prophecy. About two or three months later, I watched what this precious lady told me unfold before my eyes, and what I saw wrecked me. I saw God’s wrath, which is His divine punishment and chastisement, manifest. It was not nice. I always had a reverential fear for the holy, sovereign, righteous God who sits on His holy throne. However, I saw a side of His judgment and wrath that terrified me. Yes, He is long-suffering toward us, but there comes a set/appointed time when He says enough is enough and His grace runs out. Now, it’s reaping time! I saw hell break loose in the lives of some people who had wounded me and made me cry. I tell you the truth. It pained me to witness it. I didn’t rejoice because it was really sad. I even saw some who had consistently rejected the LORD reap their idolatry. None of us are exempt from God’s judgment, and those of us who know better are judged harsher. The Holy Bible says when you know to do right and do wrong, you will be whipped with many stripes (Luke 12:47). However, when you don’t know the difference, you will only get a few. Just as a father chastises his son, so God will chastise His sons and daughters whom He loves (Hebrews 12:6). Let me assure you again that you cannot callously hurt and mistreat God’s people, and do what’s wrong and evil to them without paying a price. The day of reckoning will come. So, precious child of God, you don’t have to worry or fret when you are mistreated and wronged or when men speak and do evil against you. Don’t try to pay people back and take vengeance on them. God will deal with them in His own way and time. Vengeance is mine says the LORD. I will repay (Romans 12:19). Today or whenever you read this, God is extending an opportunity to you to humble yourself, repent, and ask Him for forgiveness. Now is the appointed time. I am talking about sincere and godly sorrow for what you have done to hurt yourself or others. Who knows? God may relent. We can change His mind. We see this with King Ahab, the king of Nineveh, and others in the Holy Bible. I urge you to be careful how you treat people. Treat them like you would treat yourself. Treat them as if they were your mother, father, sister, brother, son, or daughter. It’s really simple. My father used to always say, “Treat everybody right, even treat the devil right.” When you take advantage of others, someone will take advantage of you. When you cause others to cry, you will cry. So, there is no need to act surprised when you find yourself on the receiving end. When we sow good deeds, good things happen to us. When we help others, God will always send someone to help us in our time of need! I’ve seen it countless times in my life. During this same time, the Lord remembered me, blessed me, and rewarded me for my faithfulness and obedience to Him and His Word. He also did it because I helped and blessed His people and planted good seeds in their lives. What I did in secret, He rewarded me openly for. You don't go around boasting about those things. The Holy Scriptures tell us as long as the earth remains, there is seed time and harvest time! All glory to you Lord Y’shua! Whatever you plant will grow! Please note: every day, I’m striving to walk in God’s ways and do what is right and pleasing in His sight! Some days, Lord knows it’s not easy. Most importantly, as a parent, you can cause negative things to happen in the lives of your children by your actions. Your negative behavior can negatively affect them. That is a different subject for a different day. We must also understand that God desires no one to go to eternal hell or damnation (even though we might desire that sometimes). He said He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their wicked ways (Ezekiel 33:11). However, if they continue in their wickedness, God has no other choice but to send forth His righteous judgment. I found an interesting scripture a while ago in the Holy Bible where God said he saves the punishment of the wicked for their children. “You say, ‘God stores away [the punishment of] man’s wickedness for his children.’ Let God repay him so that he may know and experience it”(Job 21:19). I recall a situation when someone physically hurt my son as a baby. The mother tried to uphold this evil act that was done by her daughter and she died I believe that same year or the following year. I’m not certain about the timing. She hired an attorney who lied on me to try and defame my character, but it all backfired. Some of my relatives wanted to take revenge on her and her family, but God will always take vengeance against those who hurt us. He will trouble those who trouble us according to His Word! It’s a dangerous practice to be wicked, evil, mean, wretched, cruel, cold-hearted, hard-hearted, and lowdown. These can bring severe consequences and repercussions. God sees. Nothing is hidden from His eyes. Hebrews 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” On the flip side of that, 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of Yahweh roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His.” It’s spiritually healthy to have a reverential fear of God. To fear Him means to honor, respect, and love Him so much that your desire is not to purposely and deliberately hurt Him. Obey His commands and precepts. I ask You, Holy One of Israel, to help us walk upright before You, to honor, respect, and have reverential fear for You, and walk in Your ways. It’s difficult when we try to do it in our own strength, but I ask You to do through us what we can’t do ourselves. In Y’shua’s mighty and awesome name. All blessings, honor, glory, power, and dominion to Him who sits on His throne!

The Holy Bible tells us, “Be not mocked, whatsoever a man sows that shall he reap” (Galatians 6:7). Not my words, but God’s

The Last Two & a Half Years

The last two and a half years have been some of the most difficult I’ve endured, but God’s mighty right hand is upon my life, and it’s because of Him that I am still standing and sane. He prepared me to walk out of every situation, even before the very foundations of the earth. Like the song says, “I never would have made it without You, Lord. If I wasn’t a student of His Word and had not endeavored to be a doer of it, I’m sure my story would be much different—but in a bad way. You can’t play with this Christian walk. You have to believe what you read and stand on it with every fiber of your being, knowing it’s true, tried, and proven, no matter what it feels, looks, or seems like. Life will bring many unexpected twists and turns. Boy, they will make your head spin. I would never have dreamed that things would take the turns they did. I tell you the truth! We should never make the mistake of thinking we are exempt from unseen and unexpected troubles or calamities. Life is filled with them. Welcome to life! You never know all that the future holds or has in store. Let me tell you; I am dealing with some things I never saw coming. At the end of the day and night, I am confident Daddy God knows what’s best for me and has my best interest at heart. That’s the beauty in it all. He has promised never to leave or forsake me. I give Him praise! Also, things could always be so much worse. Despite it all, I am full of gratitude and not attitude! I do not doubt that all things always work together for my good because I know I love the Lord and I’m called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). What I experienced changed my perspective on life and my future as a whole. I was floored when I saw what the Creator was capable of doing. All I could do is throw up my hands and say, “I completely surrender and trust You!” The Holy Bible says He sits in heaven and does what He pleases. I realize we make plans, but the Holy One of Israel is the ultimate planner and architect of our lives. I never truly saw some things coming. But I’m not God, and I don’t hold my future in my hands. Only He does. He’s the only true, living and wise God. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. God honors people’s choices and will not impose our wills or His on them. Who can fathom the mind and heart of God? For His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. His ways are higher than ours. Also, you can’t abuse God’s grace and mercy. You never know what your future or end will bring and that’s a fact. Things will not always turn out the way we expect or plan. Oh, my God! You can think you have your future all mapped out and then here comes the God of the universe with His perfect plan and will if we give Him liberty over our lives! Sometimes we think we have life figured out, but we don’t. Haha! God steps in and says, “Nope, I’m taking you in another direction.” Sometimes it could very well be to save your life or to get your blessing to you.

No Greater Peace!

As I watch different people, I have often observed that many lack peace. These persons are restless, have sleepless nights, and their spirits are troubled. They were full of worry and anxiety. I said to the Lord, “What in the world is this?” The Prince of Peace (Jesus) said to me, “They have no peace.” I’m talking about that promise of peace spoken about in the Holy Bible. That God peace that surpasses and transcends all human understanding. That divine, supernatural, extraordinary, indescribable, robust peace that Christ alone can give to us! That sweet peace! It will calm your innermost being. There is nothing like His peace. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives you, I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. “[Let My perfect peace calms you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] Practically speaking, there are instances when a person may have a mental issue or some hormonal imbalance. In these cases, one must use wisdom and may need to go and get natural products to assist them. It is also a given that there will be times when worry, stress, fear, and anxiety will try to grip your very heart and soul, but I always remind myself that God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [ abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control.].” Another scripture says that perfect love casts out fear. (1 John 4:18) The word peace in Hebrew means Shalom, which means to give/restore harmony; fulfillment; health; security; abundant well-being; tranquility; freedom from disquiet and disorder; reconciliation; resolution of conflict; healing of division; to flourish; prosperity. So, with this peace from God comes everything you need to live your life to the fullest, completely whole. You get the complete package. What an awesome and mighty God we serve! Who wouldn’t serve a God like this? I must say that I have experienced this God kind of peace. Only Yahshua can give you this kind of peace; you can’t find it anywhere else in the world. You can’t find it in a man or a woman. You can’t find it in sex, pornography, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, gambling or food. I thank God for this peace that sustained me when I got the worst phone call a mother could ever get. Oh, come on, Holy Ghost!!! JESUS is real!! I know this from first-hand experience. Nobody, I mean nobody, can make me doubt Him because I know too much about Him. I’m not talking about anything I read or what somebody told me. Praise Your Precious and Holy Name! Can we take a moment to worship Him??? I love the song that says, “He’ll keep you in perfect peace; just keep your mind on Him.” Another song says, “What a peace, what a peace, what a peace, what a peace down in my soul!!” Alleluia JESUS! “And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Philippians 4:7 According to Isaiah 26:3, God promised to keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. “You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character] Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].” May God’s perfect and divine peace encompass every part of your being as you invite Him into your heart! Amid chaos, violence, death, sickness, and trouble, JESUS will be your peace. I am a witness and testament! Indeed, the Lord blesses His people with peace! “The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” (Psalm 29:11, NLT If you need the Prince of Peace to bring peace into your life, here are more scriptures to snack and feast on daily: Numbers 6:24-26 Judges 6:22-24 Psalm 29:11 Psalm 34:14 Psalm 37:11 Isaiah 57:18-19 Micah 5:5 Isaiah 48:18 Isaiah 54:10 Isaiah 55:11-12

His Voice is Like Thunder

The other morning, my husband and I were lying down in bed, and we heard loud thunder. It was so loud it caused the smoke detector to go off, and I heard something pop in the bathroom. I was praying that the house didn’t catch fire. I thought we had lost our power. I jumped straight up out of the bed. We checked our electricity and thank G-d, everything was on and all was well. Now, I have heard powerful thunder before, but not like this. This shook me to my innermost being. It was awe-inspiring and frightening at the same time. All I could do was call on the name of Y’shua. I kept saying “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” Do you know there is power in that great name? In the Scriptures, thunder is often represented as the voice of God listened to with awe and trembling. Thunder is an effect or evidence of God’s mighty power and ofttimes His anger also. “God thunders wondrously with His voice; He does great things we cannot comprehend” (Job 37:5). After this situation occurred, I couldn’t help but think about how the Israelites shook with fear as they stood at a distance on the morning of the third day when they were to meet God at the mountain. There was the sound of thunder and lightning. Holy smoke and a cloud covered the mountain, and the Israelites heard a very loud horn. When they saw it, they were so terrified they wanted Moses to speak to them, instead of God (Exodus Chapter 20). They urged him not to let God speak to them or they would die. Many scriptures refer to the sound of G-d’s voice as thunder. In Job 37:2, Elihu exclaims G-d’s majesty. He says, “Listen carefully to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that goes out of His mouth! He unleashes His lightning beneath the whole sky and sends it to the ends of the earth.” The Holy One of Israel is remarkable. No words can truly describe Him, His majesty, His marvelous power and greatness, His splendor, and His extraordinary and extravagant nature. He is King of the universe, Possessor of heaven and the earth and beneath the earth. He is the Lover, Keeper, and Bishop of my soul! All glory, honor, power, and dominion belong to Him who sits on His throne. I say to Him, “Who is like unto You, oh Lord, mighty among the gods—great in set-apartness, awesome in praise?” I love this scripture I read the other day in 2 Chronicles 26:3-5, where it talks about a young man by the name of Uzziah who became king when he was sixteen years old. The Holy Bible says he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD just as his father Amaziah did. What really stood out to me is that it said he was a loyal seeker of God and was trained well by his pastor and teacher Zechariah to live in reverent obedience before God. This king lived a godly life and God prospered him. I thought that was so powerful! Our main assignment as spiritual leaders of the Most High G-d is to direct and teach the people to have a reverential fear of Him and be obedient to Him and His Word. We must instruct them to love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength and love their neighbors as themselves. This is the foundation of the faith. We must teach them to walk in G-d’s ways and precepts and about His character and ways. Indeed, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6)! May we all draw close to Him so He can draw close to us is my prayer! Call on Him while He is near and while you have time!
