I greet you in that name that's above every name over heaven and earth and beneath the earth. That name that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that YAHshua HaMASHIACH (Jesus, the Messiah)is LORD unto the glory of the FATHER!
Sadly, I must say most folks based being blessed on things like, how much money you have, the size of your home, the kind of car you drive and the clothes you wear. However, I beg to differ.
What is the meaning of the word blessed? Blessed simply means to be happy, wonderful, divine favor and bringing pleasure. I know people who have money and "things" but they are so miserable and unhappy. Some of them look good on the outside but tore up from the floor up on the inside. They are spiritually blind. They have no spiritual discernment, no peace (No Jesus no peace, know Jesus know peace) or joy. May GOD bless them them! Now don't get me wrong, I like "things" and we certainly need "things" but I LOVE GOD more!! Truly, in HIM we have EVERYTHING and ALL we that we really need!!! He has promised in His word to supply each and every one of our needs according to His riches and glory. However, we must seek the Kingdom of GOD, it's righteousness and the things will be added (Matthew 6:33).
The truth of the matter is when we are clothed in our right mind (Hallelujah!)and have the activity of our limbs, life, health and strength we are EXTREMELY BLESSED!!! Can anybody feel me? I'm reminded of one day when a lady invited me to the gym to meet some of her friends. When I arrived, they were praying so I just took a seat. There was a Prophetess in the midst who I had never met before. She looked at me and said to me twice, "You are a blessed woman of GOD." At the time, I didn't think much of it, even though I have always considered myself blessed. As time went on, I begin to ponder and reflect upon those words from on High that was spoken through the Prophetess and the more I thought about what she said the more I began to praise GOD for ALL He alone had done in my life. Often, I praise the LORD for SALVATION and has never taken it lightly or for granted. I was raised as a Muslim and on my way to an ETERNAL hell but HE SAVED me. I'm about to SHOUT!!! Let me stop and take me a praise break!
Some times it's good to take time out of our busy lives and reflect on the goodness and blessings that the LORD has bestowed upon us. The enemy works overtime to try and make us dwell on our past, circumstances or the prayers that have not yet come to pass. However, this makes me work overtime to praise and thank GOD even more for the manifold blessings that He daily bestows upon us. Baruch HaSHEM Adonai (Blessed be the name of the LORD)!! I love the scripture that says, "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?" (Psalm 8:4) I'm so grateful for ALL he gives to us. Suppose He didn't bless us with water or food or the necessities we need to survive? He is soooo GOOD and His mercy endures forever!!!
Unfortunately, there are some blessings that you can't even share with some folks. Because they are haters and their hearts are filled with jealousy. I've learned to rejoice silently and ponder some blessings in my heart. It's ashamed but it is what it is.
Being blessed to me means to be protected from ALL harm, hurt and danger. It means having supernatural peace that surpasses ALL human understanding when hell is breaking loose all around you! It means having joy, unspeakable joy. Joy that the world didn't give and the world can't take away!!! These blessings you cannot buy or put a price tag on. I urge those of you who are focusing on things, money, etc. and those of you who are sinning please turn your focus back to GOD, stop sinning and repent! We can do nothing in our own strength but we can do ALL things through CHRIST, our Messiah who strengthens us! It really ticks me off when people live sloppy lives but they are upset with GOD because their prayers are not being answered. There are certain requirements we must meet if we are going to walk in the BLESSINGS of the LORD! If you OBEY GOD, his decrees and commands, and LOVE Him with ALL your heart, soul, mind and strength you will automatically be BLESSED! The BLESSINGS will overtake you. Please refer to Deuteronomy 28. So do your part and HE will most definitely do HIS! I'm not telling what I heard, read or someone told me. I'm telling you what I have personally experienced first hand.
Blessed be HIS GLORIOUS NAME and KINGDOM forever and ever!!
Philippians 4:8 tells us to meditate on these things; whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
